Happy New Year! 

I was so excited to kick off 2022 with a winter engagement session at Gillette Castle in East Haddam, CT.  I simply LOVE these!  As a Connecticut engagement photographer, I know that sessions don’t always fall on a blue-sky spring day or with a sunset in the fall.  I highly encourage anyone to go out in the snowy-cold, or to dance in the rain together!  These are memorable experiences and they are what you make it! 

Needless to say I was beyond thrilled when Alexys and Jordan said they were looking to send out Save the Dates and wanted a session as soon as possible.  It was perfect timing because it just snowed days before… and I knew the perfect place!

All I can say is that I highly recommend having an engagement session. I feel they are so important that I include them in my collections.  Even if you’ve had professional photos taken before (which I was shocked to hear that Alexys and Jordan have not!), it’s a great way to 1) Get to know your photographer 2) Have the photographer get to know you 3) personalize your reception with framed photos of the two of you (trust me your family will LOVE them!).  Capture the way you are, right here and right now.  This is a part of your story…..
